GASIFICATION TECHNOLOGY

In the closed system high temperature reducing environment within the gasifier, the solid hydrocarbon material, oxygen, and steam are combined; chemical bonds are broken; heat is evolved; and inorganic material is melted to form vitrified, or vitreous, frit. Vitrified frit is an inert, non-leaching material that resembles coarse sand or glass. In the gas purification process sulfur is removed and sold into world markets. Vitrified frit is sold for road building or concrete block materials.
