Gasification Engineering Corporation (GEC) is the gasification technology, engineering, construction and development subsidiary of Global Energy, Inc. In support of the Global "build-own-operate" business plan, GEC is responsible for using its expertise to select and apply appropriate gasification technologies to specific projects for the company. Included in its charter are engineering and construction as well as operating and maintenance of those projects. GEC serves as the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor for certain Global Energy projects, while arranging general contractor services for implementation of those and other projects for our operating companies. As project construction nears completion, GEC begins final preparations for operating the facility. GEC will manage its contractors and conduct hiring and training of operating staff.

Senior GEC staff has over 70 years of hands-on experience in the U.S. and a further 70 years of experience at our operations in the United Kingdom. The Global Energy management team has a combined experience of over 300 years in the development, construction, ownership and operating gasification facilities. Its expertise includes project engineering, project management, project construction, gasification technology and reaction chemistry.  These skills enable GEC to effectively fulfill its gasification technology based project development and implementation mandate.
