Energy Independence
Recent world events and past lessons of history have shown that over reliance on foreign energy sources can jeopardize the security of our country. The U.S. Department of Defense has recognized the hazards of relying on imported fuel and is pursuing a program to have military planes and vehicles run on transportation fuel made from domestic solid hydrocarbons.
Global Energy’s optimization of gasification technology operations has enabled a platform for BTU conversion and inter-fuel competition to be created. It is now possible to efficiently and economically convert solid hydrocarbons to pipeline gas and transportation fuel, reducing the need for foreign oil and gas. Synthetic gas from coal and other solid hydrocarbons can replace foreign oil and gas while serving power, gas, transportation fuel and hydrogen markets.
